Hey Airshow Fans,

The Annual General Meeting will be held this coming Monday, 3 November 2008, at 702 Wing.  If you are interested in becoming more involve with the airshow, please come to the AGM.  The meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

PRESIDENT's THOUGHTS

All of my wishes came true.  The show was safe and spectacular.  The weather threatened but in the end cooperated.  Tora Tora Tora lived up to my every expectation and the 18^th Air Defence demonstration was something we’ve never tried before and it was great!

Talk about a parking problem on the hot ramp.  That C-17 was simply huge and when it demonstrated slow flight, I was certain it would fall out of the sky.  What an absolutely amazing aircraft.  I can’t say enough about the performers who were here this weekend.  They really worked hard to make the show a success.

As did all the volunteers who were working this weekend.  Your “Can Do” attitude and willingness to assist anyone with any problem is what made the 2008 Alberta International Air Show the success that it was.  Our attendance was awesome and that just made your job harder but always a sense of teamwork and a positive attitude.  Airshow People really are the best!

I had the opportunity to meet a lot of our sponsors this weekend and it really was a pleasure.  I hope we lived up to your expectations, that you had a wonderful time and you found the show to be more than what you could have imagined. 

And to the thousands of people who came out just to be entertained.  We are so determined to make the show next year even better.  Thank you so much for making us a stop in your summer plans and please mark your calendars…25 & 26 July, 2009.
